Now let’s talk about asbestos abatement. During the inspection period, we will be sending out samples to get tested. If it comes back as saying there is asbestos in your home, then begins the process of asbestos abatement. How Does It Work?
Asbestos Abatement is the process of removing any materials that could contain asbestos (ACM). Some of these materials include vinyl flooring, wall texture, ceiling texture, insulation, roofing material, or house siding material. One of the most common places we’ll see asbestos is in attics, particularly in any homes that were built prior to the 1980’s.
From there, we’ll go through and contain the entire area, which we do by enclosing it in thick plastic and ventilate it with negative air machines. Once everything is secured, we’ll start removing the offending material. Once done, it is then taken to a licensed EPA dump site. Once again, you can rest easy knowing there is no asbestos anywhere in your home. And once you’re happy and your home is safe, we’ll know that our job is done!
